First a Jewish state is absolutely necessary for the continuation of Jews as well as Zionism because under a state you have the protection of allies. The idea of a Jewish state was spurred on after WWII after the extermination of millions of Jews under Hitler. Had there been a Jewish state then Hitler could not have exterminated as many Jews as he did because under a state you have the full protection of allies. The same reason holds true for the Palestinians as does for the Jews under the same system. Also to displace people from land they have lived upon for hundreds of years in order to set up a state it is only fair that land be set aside for their own state in order to provide them the same protection as those that displaced them in order to set up a state. Israel was necessary as a Palestinian state is necessary for the continuation of its people.
