In chapter 4 you bring up the topic of magic. I think for many people,
mysticism and magic are one and the same thing and the distinctions you make
are fascinating. I was particularly challenged by your association of magic
in Judaism with deconstruction. As a followup, I have two questions:

1. What is the  connection between the use of magical language, i.e.
language without inherent meaning and meditation, in Judaism or in other
cultures?

2. How do the traditionalist view the magical side of Jewish mysticism - is
there more or less opposition than to the purely mystical side?
