[NGFP-BookClub] Another Point on THE TRIAL

To Everyone:

My husband and I went to see the play, THE TRIAL, last night here in Los
Angeles. Thank you Philip Schulman for this recommendation. What a masterful
and beautiful production. The music reminded me of something out of
Stravinsky's, THE SOLDIER'S TALE.

What was particularly relevant, and significant to the points brought up by
Dr. Wise was how this story can be classified as a Jewish story. Seeing it
on stage somehow gave support to that line of inquiry. Here was a man who
was accused of being guility, without explanation, like a man/woman who are
picked out to punish just because he/she is Jewish. We must remember that
this story was written pre-1939.

In any event, thank you for presenting this most fasinating book and to Mr.
Schulman for recommending the play.
